I guess it's the classic case of one not being able to outrun a bad diet.

If fueling during the activity stops you from overeating afterwards and possibly allows you to exercise a bit longer it is worth it, even though it seems counter productive.

> not being able to outrun a bad diet

Dang… I was hoping for some cheat level wisdom :)

He seems pretty damn good at both.

Also it's not just about running an obviously worse quant.

Running different GPU kernels / inference engines also matters. It's easy to write an implementation that is faster and thus cheaper but numerically much noisier / less accurate.

There are different kinds of saunas. Nobody gets into a 90c humid sauna, that would just kill you.

Oh I can assure you, millions people in the northern europe do exactly this ;)

EDIT: I guess it depends on your definition of "humid". But 90C and regular water infusions are pretty common sauna conditions.

I mean yes it depends on your definition of humid but if your definition of humid is under 20% RH then that's not in agreement with any other humans on the planet and if it's over 50% RH then no, millions of people are not doing this because they would die. Our bedroom is at 50% RH because under that our baby's skin dries out. There's no way anyone is sitting in a 90 C 50% RH sauna for any appreciable amount of time. They would die.

I guess I am a revenant - I get into one regularly in my basement.

Haha no, I been in 90c saunas many times. Can I stay there for a long time? Heck no. But some people can and it doesn’t kill you (maybe if you have some preexisting condition)

the point is the humidity. hot saunas need to be relatively dry otherwise your sweat won't evaporate.

Which idea? Offering someone else's product for free by copying 99% of the effort?

TurtleWoW wasn't a simple copy of the original game, you can see this as a legit extension it's a lot of work.

Sure it's no way comparable to the initial work of the original game but it's short sighted to think it's just a rip-off

Everything what Blizzard did in the last 20 years is just big pile of steaming BS.

So your idea, they copied their recent work is just ...

Other than that, I'm fan of Blizzard, mainly because of their relation to botting :) :) :)

It seems rather educational.

That's just the new normal. Everyone is doing AI assisted work, but that doesn't mean the work goes away.

Someone still has to put in meaningful effort to get the AI to do it and ship it.

sure, but what makes it ClubMate instead of just Mate Tea? Either way, thanks for the recipe. I might try that.

I would say drinking it cold, carbonated, with caramelized sugar and lemon juice, out of a bottle instead of brewed as a tea from a calabaza.

Club Mate has a different taste than traditionally brewed yerba mate. It’s carbonated as well.

Aren't mac minis flying for "local models" because people have no clue what they are doing?

All those people who bought them for openclaw just bought them because it was the trendy thing to do. No one of those people is running local models on there.

I don't buy that story. NVIDIA wasn't that huge of a company when they built CUDA, they weren't huge when the first GPT model was trained with it.

CUDA was built during the time AMD was focusing every resource on becoming competitive in the CPU market again. Today they dominate the CPU industry - but CUDA was first to market and therefore there's a ton of inertia behind it. Even if ROCm gets very good, it'll still struggle to overcome the vast amount of support (read "moat") CUDA enjoys.

True. After all Nvidia hasn't built tensorflow or PyTorch. That stuff was bound to be built on the first somewhat viable platform. Rocm is probably far ahead of where cuda was back then, but the goal moved.
