Thanks for making this available but if you really want it to get it adopted you really should change from GNU license to much more permissive MIT license.
And you should not tell people what they should do with their work and IP. If they chose GNU, they chose GNU, and they have their reasons, deal with it.
I was really hoping that Theranos was going to take on the blood testing duopoly of Quest and Labcorp that charge outrageously high fees for all their blood tests and finally disrupt this area of health care and significantly lower costs for patients. It's a real tragedy that Theranos turned out to be a total fraud and not only trashed the reputation of Silicon Valley and startups but also will make it harder for entrepreneurs to get funding especially women founders which is a real shame.
Hello Jason could you please give an estimated availability date for the Windows client and a valid link to the section of your repo/website where someone can follow the progress? I have searched extensively for any info on the schedule. road map, estimated availability for this and have had no luck finding any info about this very important client for Wireguard. I have been patiently waiting for this and holding off on other Windows VPNs but need something very soon. Thanks for your help.
I would highly recommend NameSilo.com. I have used a number of domain registrars over the years including NameCheap, Register.com even GoDaddy before they went public and eliminated all their discounts for anything other then new registrations and have found no one better or lower cost than NameSilo. Their UI/interface is well designed and easy to use, they have the lowest cost for both new registrations and renewals (including free privacy) and the very few times I had some questions you can actually call them and have a human answer and provide good service/support (unlike NameCheap who provides no live support). Off all the registrations I have used I have consistently found the best combinations of value, great website and service/support with NameSilo. And I have no affiliation or any other relationship with them other than having been a very satisfied customer of theirs for a number of years.
After having every member of my family get cancer except me I have extensively studied and found proven ways to prevent cancer based on long term studies. I also serve as a patient advocate helping people battle their cancers. In addition I have had gastrointestinal and digestive issues in the past and after lots of doctors, tests, treatments, etc. here are the things that I have found to have worked:
Cancer Prevention (All Types Including Gastric/Stomach Cancer):
1) Don't smoke
2) Eat a plant based (vegan) diet consisting of mostly fresh raw vegetables (raw foods contain natural digestive enzymes which help digest food better as well as being packed with cancer fighting nutrients)
3) Eliminate processed, fried, additive-laden foods
4) Avoid exposure to chemicals, toxins and other environmental contaminants that are known carcinogens.
5) Get plenty of sleep every night to strengthen the immune system.
6) Get a minimum of 150 minutes of cardiovascular exercise each week (more is even more effective)
7) Minimize daily stress to the greatest extent possible (stress wreaks havoc on the body and seriously damages immune function).
8) Drink plenty of water every day.
To Improve Digestive Health/Minimize Acid Reflux & Other GI Health Problems:
1) Eat more raw vegetables which have naturally occurring digestive enzymes (cooking destroys most of these).
2) Eat slowly and chew your food thoroughly. Digestion starts in the mouth with saliva.
3) Don't drink water or other fluids during and for at least 3-4 hours after meals which will dilute stomach acid & negatively impact digestion and break down of food.
4) Eat raw fermented foods with naturally occurring prebiotics & probiotics such as kombucha tea, raw apple cider vinegar (1 tablespoon on food at each meal 3X per day), etc. Studies have shown that pre/probiotic supplements are not effective, only natural foods work.
5) Try and eat smaller, more frequent meals. Large meals are harder to digest & make it hard for the stomach to fully clear food that is eaten which can increase acid reflux/GERD.
6) Avoid bad oils and fats and stick to good fats virgin coconut oil, olive oil, nuts, seeds, avocados, etc. http://drcate.com/list-of-good-fats-and-oils-versus-bad/
7) Eat more high fiber foods.
These are some suggestions based on many years of research and what I have found to work the best. I'm happy to answer any questions.
Accessing the site is a little slow but I am able to access it without a problem. I would recommend you please try again. The author/publisher of the site is a very smart Pulitzer prize winning investigative journalist (David Cay Johnston) who wrote THE book on Trump so he knows Trump extremely well. https://www.amazon.com/Making-Donald-Trump-David-Johnston/dp...
Stripe ACH service has been in "beta" for at least two years. I contacted them that long ago and was told it would be available by the end of 2014 and it is still in "beta" and not generally available. As the co-founder of an enterprise SaaS app startup where our average per use charge for a customer to use our app (we charge on a per use basis not straight subscription) starts in the hundreds of dollars and can run into the thousands paying the standard 2.9% + credit card fees for every payment vs. $.10 - $.50 max for an ACH charge is a complete non-starter for us and our customers. All of Stripe's competitors have had ACH forever including Balanced who we talked to but Stripe continues to drag its feet and not provide ACH. Clearly it isn't for technical reasons but because they make significantly more revenue and profit by not offering ACH where their transaction fee is much less. So while I respect what Stripe did early on to make integrating payments into an app much easier than the previous generation payment providers requiring a lot of up front fees, merchant accounts, etc. we will never consider them again unless and until they offer ACH and I'm sure there are lots of other enterprise app companies who won't use them either without ACH because customers demand it vs. having to run up huge monthly charges on their company credit cards. Too bad that Stripe management is proven to put their profits (and greed) ahead of providing cost effective solutions for their customers.
Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. There is a lot of good
advice from other posters and I would like to offer you my
suggestions having performed the role of patient advocate
for all the members of my immediate family who all were
diagnosed and treated with various forms of cancer (5 out
of 6 family members, everyone except me). I have built
an extensive library of info, articles, resources, etc.
through the process of caring for my family members which
I would be happy to share with you and could offer more
help if we could speak so if you want to do that please
provide me a way to contact you.
1) Get a definitive diagnosis & treatment recommendations
from the best doctor you can find (I know a number of
internists, oncologists, oncology radiologists, cancer
surgeons, etc. that I could possibly recommend depending
on where you are located).
2) Get a second opinion to confirm the diagnosis is
accurate and also a second opinion on treatment
recommendations.
3) Much of what to do next will depend on #1 & 2 above
but there are a number of things you can do
immediately to greatly improve your chances of fully
beating your illness including:
-try and switch to a vegan diet and eat plant based
foods. All cancers are fueled by animal foods and
there is proven evidence vegans get fewer cancers and do
better with cancer treatments than non-vegans. There are
a number of foods that are especially good at preventing
and fighting cancer including allium foods (e.g. garlic),
cruciferous vegetables (e.g. broccoli, brussels sprouts,
etc.), spices such as turmeric, ginger, etc., green tea,
nuts & seeds, and others on the list of top cancer
fighting foods.
-significantly reduce and/or eliminate as
much sugar as you can from your diet, especially high
fructose corn syrup and other highly processed forms of
sugar. Sugar fuels cancer growth and to limit its
growth and possible spread, cutting out sugar will really
help.
-try and get as much cardiovascular exercise as you can
ideally at least 30-40 minutes at least 5-6 times per
week. Highly oxygenated blood which results from exercise
inhibits cancer cell proliferation plus it will make you
stronger and give you more energy especially before/after
treatments.
-try and get as much sleep as you can. Proper rest is
critical to help your body rejuvenate your normal cells
and boost your immune system to fight the cancer.
Maximizing your immune system is one of the most
important things you can do to fight and beat the
disease.
I don't have the space to include more but I can offer you
advice & suggestions if we can speak. One thing to know is
that there are many new promising approaches to treating
cancer that are proving to be highly successful including
immunotherapy and others. You are young and if you caught
it early your chances of a successful treatment and full
remission and a long cancer free life are very good.
I would second Amazon Web Services but I believe the free instance is only good for a year (my free time ended after a year for a micro-instance). Although many here would suggest GoogleAppEngine I avoid Google products for business critical anything just because I have found their support to be very poor or non-existent.
For a domain registrar I have used Register.com (avoid like the plague), GoDaddy and most recently transferred a couple dozen domains to NameSilo (http://www.namesilo.com/). I had used GoDaddy for years when they were among the cheapest but since their private equity buyout and IPO they have eliminated all their discounts for existing customers and renewals which makes their pricing uncompetitive. NameSilo has great pricing (among the lowest based on my research), they have a good system and clean interface/dashboard, I completed the transfers from GoDaddy to NameSilo within an hour by following their instructions exactly and so far have been very happy with their service. I considered NameCheap which a lot of HNers seem to use but NameCheap doesn't offer any live phone support only email and chat which was a complete non-starter for me. I had a few questions about NameSilo's services and pricing and made a couple of calls their support line which were answered by a live human with no wait and they knew their stuff and answered what I needed. It is a great value with their registrar systems/services, pricing and live phone support.
I still have some domain names with GoDaddy but as soon as they come up for renewal I will transfer them to NameSilo and I will be glad to not have to deal with GoDaddy' frustrating support people who just want to sell you crap as well as not missing the non-stop barrage of promotional crap they send to you which before they eliminated their discount coupons you had to receive in order to get their no longer available discounts.
I am not an attorney but have done a lot of legal work in various companies I have been involved with and have a lot of experience with employment contracts. You definitely need an attorney that specializes in employment law and I might be able to recommend several but I would some additional info about your situation. Your profile doesn't list an email or phone so if you want to provide a way to contact you I can get in touch to see if I can help further.
