I can see myself in this. Face blindness is really a problem for me, too. Thankfully younger people (who all look the same to me) have taken up tattooing themselves, which makes it a lot easier to identify them (because it's easier to remember than a face)

What nobody says is that, face blindness is a protection mechanism from our brain for protecting ourselves from losing our minds. When you see your friends growing up and don't remember when you were kids, or when you see the kids at school and you think 'they are younger than I were when I was in there', that's your brain using this mechanism. Forgiving all the faces that we had back then, so we don't feel so much like growing and getting old. That's why your family will always look like they are right now, and you need to make an effort to remember them when you were kids, and remember them in their kid form.

You can also set a time rule. For me it's 45min, if it takes longer to solve it, I an allowed to quit.

It's totally worth it, though, especially for the first week, when you look up how other people solved the thing you just solved. I always learned (or re-learned) something from that. IMHO there's not that much value in looking up solutions before you solved it yourself, though.

Have used it since forever. Just used it today an hour ago. Usually to paste a windows screenshot and then do minor editing or cropping.

Now windows has gotten a lot better, with the [WIN][Shift][s] shortcut (so cropping no longer is necessary). But that still misses a feature to quickly draw an arrow.

Irfanview has that. Screenshot, crop, F12, put an arrow to point at something, copy, paste into Teams.

So fast...

Fastone Capture is my goto for this. Does everything including drawing etc. Excellent software.

There have been a few articles like this and without a return percentage or number of returns it's a worthless waste of reader time. Of course some people who just wanted to try out the device will return it.

I would have a returned a first generation ipad as well (I did try it out on release day but after playing with it for 15 minutes I knew it wasn't for me)

Personally, I'd feel bad to buy one and return it a week later - I'd feed better to pay a restocking fee, because I want to try one out, but don't want to keep it..

The DJI Mini Pro 3 works without Wifi and using the expensive controller, without a phone app, so the opportunities to upload captured data to China are very limited.

Unless you use their recommended software. https://www.dji.com/lightcut

The next step could be language learning via Duolingo (which is also highly addictive) or browsing memes on 9gag.

Maybe getting a small phone like the iPhone Mini is a solution, because while it does phone things (music playing, photos) great, the small screen discourages social media and web surfing. Add a book case to the phone so you only see the screen when you decide to see it. This may remove the need to constantly look at the phone.
