Using the Disney app is kinda weird. As "Disney" I expect it to be used mostly for children's fare. But they own a lot of stuff now, many of which isn't "Disney" except in the conglomerate sense.
I don't know if Disney branding on it all really makes sense. Nobody cares that Star Wars and Marvel are "Disney" properties. I'm reminded a bit of the "We're Beatrice" campaign back in the 90s. Nobody cared that you could get underwear, rental cars, and peanut butter with the same brand.
Disney is the bigger name overall, but I wonder if they'd be better doing it the other way: Disney for the kids' stuff, and Hulu for everything else. Not that Hulu is a great brand right now, but maybe it could be if it had vast amounts of really great content.
Regardless, they need some kind of Disney Kids app that parents can safely install and hand off to children. I imagine that Disney app has a mode for that already, but it would be easier if it had a distinct icon.
