It may violate the TOS of Linkedin, causing them to shut you (and your users) out. Shutting them down though, I expect that's a way higher bar than some web scraping.
It evokes memories of the yt-download fiaso, in which the application was removed from Github for showing examples of downloading specific material from Youtube.
I have concerned with any of the gallery items that advertise 'scraping' of Linkedin data. You might want to keep that on the down-low.
